Welcoming The Babies Success
Welcoming the Babies proved yet again to be a wonderful success, with many parents joining me at Leichhardt Town Hall on Saturday.
Despite the rain, many parents, grandparents and proud siblings came along to welcome Grayndler’s newest residents.
Welcoming the Babies is the perfect opportunity to recognise how much work parents do.
It is also a great way for parents to meet fellow mums and dads.
I would like to thank Principal of Leichhardt Public School James Reid for his fantastic effort as MC on the day, as well as Aboriginal Elder and former Leichhardt Councillor Bob Webb for his Welcome to Country, and Mayor Darcy Byrne and Leichhardt Council for facilitating the event.
Once again our sponsors made sure no parent left empty handed. I would like to thank Chemist Warehouse, PlayGroup NSW, Bounty and the Australian Government for providing both content for gift bags and information about important services.
I look forward to hosting this event again in early 2015, so keep an eye out for details of the Welcoming the Babies ceremony next year.
