Questions Without Notice: Water
Mr ALBANESE (2.27 p.m.)—My question is also to the Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of the National Party. Can the Deputy Prime Minister confirm that not only did the Prime Minister’s $10 billion water plan not go to cabinet; the Deputy Prime Minister and his office were not briefed on the detail of the package until just before the Prime Minister’s public announcement? Deputy Prime Minister, doesn’t the Prime Minister tell you anything?
Mr VAILE—I can confirm that that assertion is totally incorrect.
