Albanese Campaign Launched In Leichhardt
Federal Member for Grayndler, Anthony Albanese launched his 2010 election campaign last night in Leichhardt.
Guest of honour was the Hon Tom Uren, former deputy leader of the Australian Labor Party and a Minister in the Whitlam and Hawke governments.
Also in attendance was Assistant Treasurer Nick Sherry, NSW Deputy Premier Carmel Tebbutt and NSW Community Services Minister Linda Burney along with a large contingent of Labor Party members and supporters.
Mr Albanese spoke of the importance of defeating Tony Abbott and the Liberal Party in the upcoming election.
Mr Uren spoke warmly of his friendship with Mr Albanese and his desire to see the Labor Party finish the job it started three years ago.
