This Sunday is World Environment Day.
To coincide with this, Anthony Albanese will be launching his new website at 11am on Friday 3 June 2005 at Leichhardt Public Library.
The site will be launched by Labor’s first environment spokesperson, Tom Uren.
“Having Tom Uren launch the site is a great honour and highlights Labor’s longstanding and continuous commitment to the environment.”
“The website will give everyone information about important environmental and heritage issues,” said Anthony Albanese.
“Website users can access information about Labor’s plan to tackle climate change and help the environment in their everyday lives.”
“It will also provide information about issues in our local area, such as the impact of the operation of Sydney Airport on residents.”
“In the ‘Grayndler Issues’ section, residents can also get information about the Federal Budget and details of Labor’s fairer tax plan.”
"The website will provide an up to date record of my efforts to get real solutions to issues affecting the Grayndler community and the nation".
