Anthony Albanese MP to present 2004 Australian Students Prize for excellence to local students

Anthony Albanese MP, Federal Member for Grayndler, extends his congratulations to Anna Wang of Summer Hill and Patrick Arul-Anandam of Dulwich Hill for winning the Australian Students Prize for Excellence for their academic achievements in 2004.
The Australian Government awards 500 Australian Students Prizes nationally each year in recognition of outstanding achievement in the final and most demanding years of secondary education. Each Prize includes a certificate and a $2000 cash award.
Mr Albanese said, “Anna and Patrick’s exceptional results set them apart on a national level.”
“I welcome this opportunity to recognise and reward their efforts, and hope other local secondary school students can also aspire to obtaining such high results.”
Patrick completed Year 12 at Trinity Grammar School in 2004 and is now studying Medicine at the University of NSW. Anna is currently in her final year at Sydney Girls High School.
As well as achieving excellent school results, Anna has recently returned from China, where she won her second consecutive silver medal in the International Biology Olympiad.
