Better Access To Medicare In Leichhardt
Medicare services will be available at Leichhardt Centrelink office next year, Member for Grayndler Anthony Albanese announced today.
Mr Albanese said the existing Medicare office at Leichhardt Marketplace will remain open for business as usual while both agencies will work out of the existing Centrelink Customer Service Centre at 23 Balmain Road, Leichhardt
“This change makes life easier for shared local customers who will be able to do business with both agencies in one handy location,” said Mr Albanese.
“People in Leichardt and surrounding suburbs will also have a choice of Medicare offices they can go to.”
He said it was part of a plan to co-locate all Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support offices by the end of 2014.
“What we’re doing with this co-location will give people improved service delivery from the Federal Government,” said Mr Albanese.
