Funding For Canberra Community Infrastructure

ACT Government - $800,000



  • $200,000 Construction of loading area for the Canberra mobile library in Woden. This will facilitate the relocation of the Canberra Mobile Library Service from the Blaxland Center in Griffith to the Woden Library. The move requires interior fit out work to accommodate books for mobile library buses and constructing a new bus loading/unloading area.

  • $255,000 Construction of public transport facilities throughout Canberra. Works include construction of 5 bike-and-ride facilities involving swipe card access bike storage with a capacity of approximately 20 bikes at each location, and construction of 2 bus stop shelters.

  • $200,000 Upgrade of facilities at John Knight Memorial Park in Belconnen, including construction of 8 shade shelters each 5 metres by 3.75 metres, 3 picnic settings, access pathways and landscaping.

  • $145,000 Upgrade of picnic facilities at Western Foreshore District Park, which includes the installation of a new barbeque with picnic settings and an all weather shade structure.
