Holy Trinity Community Centre To Receive $16,000 In Funding

I am pleased to announce Father Dave’s Community Centre at the Holy Trinity Church in Dulwich Hill will receive $16,000 in funding as part of the Stronger Communities Program administered through my office.
The funds will go towards the fit out of the new Holy Trinity Community Centre, which accommodates over 200 people and includes a large hall, a gym, a meeting room and a caretaker residence.
The Community Centre, well-known for providing a safe place for youth at risk to participate in positive social and fitness activities, was sadly destroyed by fire in the early hours of 21 April, 2013.
Since then Father Dave and his parish have worked tirelessly to raise funds to ensure the ongoing provision of their services and activities.
It was a privilege to attend the reopening of the Community Centre in December last year.
The success of the Community Centre is testimony to the hard work of Father Dave.
It plays a critical role in the inner west, contributing to our socially cohesive and diverse neighbourhoods.
Having a multi-purpose facility such as this is important for our area and I’m pleased to have been able to support this project.
I want to thank Father Dave, his parish and volunteers for all the work they do, and congratulate them on the success of the Community Centre.
