An upgraded kiosk is in store for the Hurlstone Park Wanderers, following their successful application for funding under the Stronger Communities Program.
Part of the $7,500 in funding will also go towards an upgrade of the soccer equipment at Beaman Park.
The Hurlstone Park Wanderers Soccer Football Club is well known throughout the inner west for its role as a great local and family-oriented club.
The Club’s history goes back as far as 1924, and it has always been based around the Cooks River. Today the Wanderers use both Ewen Park and Beaman Park for both games and training.
Providing both competitive opportunities, and a supportive environment, the Wanderers attract players from under the age of six, right through to over the age of 45.
Our local sporting organisations play an important role in shaping our community.
The Hurlstone Park Wanderers are thoroughly deserving of this grant, and I wish them all the best for the season ahead.
