The Albanese Government is encouraging all Australians to support this year’s Good Friday Appeal for The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.
Every year, thousands of people volunteer their time, expertise and creativity to organise fundraising events and activities to support the hospital, culminating in the telethon on Good Friday. And this year will be no different.
Since 1931, over $468 million has been raised to support patients and their families at The Royal Children’s Hospital.
As part of the 2023/24 Budget, the Albanese Government announced $6 million over 3 years to support the Good Friday Appeal in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
The $2 million donated this year will go towards supporting research, state of the art equipment and technology, patient and family centred care programs and fostering staff excellence.
Anyone wishing to make a contribution or learn more about the patients, volunteers and staff at the hospital can visit www.goodfridayappeal.com.au.
