Our community is committed to tackling the climate crisis, and I hope you’ll join me to discuss the policy that will get us there.
The climate wars have seen a decade wasted, when it should have been a decade won, but Labor knows that action on climate change will mean more jobs, lower emissions and lower energy prices.
Australia should be a renewable energy superpower, but our electricity transmission system is desperately outdated.
The technology of the future to cut household bills and emissions is already here, we just need government policies to unleash it.
That’s exactly what an Albanese Labor Government will deliver and that’s what I want to discuss with our community.
I will be hosting an online Forum for Action on Climate with Labor’s Shadow Minister for Climate Change and Energy the Hon Chris Bowen MP. We’ll be joined by National Secretary of the Australian Manufacturing Workers’ Union Steve Murphy who has been instrumental in the formation of the Hunter Jobs Alliance.
Date: Wednesday, 10 November 2021
Time: 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Location: Online (Zoom)
