This week we held our Grayndler Fundraiser at Public House Petersham with special guest, actress Sacha Horler.

Sacha spoke to us about the vital cultural impact of the arts industry and how the Morrison Government has left this sector behind during the pandemic. She also spoke about this government’s ongoing failure to address issues facing women, and the imperative to keep this issue in the spotlight.

It was a great opportunity to talk in depth with fellow True Believers about the challenges for people working in the arts in both a pre- and post-Covid world. We must endeavour to improve the working rights and conditions of those who make up our rich and vibrant arts community.

We then heard from my Labor colleague the Hon. Tony Burke MP about his experiences as the Shadow Minister for the Arts and the importance of electing an Albanese Labor Government.

We were also joined by my former Labor colleague the Hon. Peter Garrett, as well as other local representatives.
