Ryde Doorstop Interview

Discussing the incident at Terri Butler’s electorate office.

SUBJECTS: Incident at Terri Butler’s electorate office.

ANTHONY ALBANESE, LEADER OF THE AUSTRALIAN LABOR PARTY: I have spoken with Terri Butler this afternoon, and her staff can report that no one has been injured. What has occurred is that a car has crashed through the front of the electorate office in Brisbane. The police are providing support, Queensland support and the Australian Federal Police are undertaking investigations. There were staff present in the office when the incident occurred.

It's not clear the details of the incident and therefore we won't be speculating on it. It is good news, though, that no one of Terri’s staff, or indeed anyone who was in the vicinity of what is a very busy precinct, has been hurt. Thank you.
