Australian Council of Trade Unions President Michele O'Neil will launch Anthony Albanese’s Federal Election Campaign on Wednesday 24 April at Willie the Boatman brewery in Sydney.
This is a unique launch as it will also be the launch of Willie the Boatman's 'Albo Ale' in a can.
This has been the major brand for Willie the Boatman, which has expanded its operation into a new larger venue in St Peters and is employing over a dozen people from an operation that began in a shed.
Of the launch, ACTU President Michele O’Neil said:
"I am proud to be launching Albo’s campaign. Over many years he has taken a principled position in the Labor Party and has been an effective advocate for working people. When I was Secretary of the Textile, Clothing and Footwear Union he always gave support to these vulnerable workers, inside and outside the Parliament."
Pat McInerney from Willie the Boatman said:
"Albo has been an amazing voice for the craft brewing industry and our campaign to get a fair go against the big guys in the beer industry.”
Trish Young from 'The Clouds' will also perform on the night
