Paint Inner West Read – Garranga Bumarri
Fancy meeting up with Jo Haylen MP, Mayor Darcy Byrne and GARRANGA BUMARRI (which means ‘pelican’ in the area’s First Language) at Marrickville Town Hall.
Paint Inner West Read’s pelican mascot regularly attends local storytelling sessions, to share his love of reading, and to meet kids in the inner west.
His booklet, Garranga Bumarri Spread his Wings, is the latest instalment of a program spreading the joy of reading books and learning.
