There was not a spare seat in the 200 plus seat Leichhardt cinema.

"We could have filled the cinema twice over. The response has been overwhelming", said Mr Albanese.

Anthony Albanese MP, Shadow Minister for the Environment and Heritage and Member for Grayndler introduced the film and also took time to speak with members of the audience following the screening.

"Awareness in about climate change is ever increasing, especially among the younger members of our communtiy. The community wants to be a part of the solution."

"The inconvenient truth for John Howard is that he has isolated Australia from global action on climate change, increasing the risk of environmental and economic damage to Australia," said Mr Albanese.

John Howard knows climate change is a serious threat to Australia’s economy and environment, but he is ignoring the truth.

Real leaders take real action to avoid risks to their country. John Howard’s wait and see approach to climate change is unforgivable.

Howard Government complacency means Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions rose a disastrous 25.1% between 1990 and 2004 when land use changes are excluded.

Younger generations will record those climate sceptics who deny human contribution to climate change as being, at best, misguided. 

Those who acknowledge the problem of climate change but fail to take serious action will be judged far more severely.
