Successful Flood Relief Fundraiser

Labor Member for Grayndler Anthony Albanese said he was pleased with the generosity of local residents who attended the flood relief fundraiser yesterday in Steel Park, Marrickville.
Over 200 people attended the barbecue with $2408 raised for the Queensland Premiers Disaster Relief Appeal.
NSW members of parliament Carmel Tebbutt, Linda Burney and Penny Sharpe joined Mr Albanese at the event.
"These floods are likely to be the biggest natural disaster in economic terms in our nation's history," said Mr Albanese.
"Every dollar raised to day will go to helping individuals in their time of need."
Mr Albanese also paid tribute to the Sydney Turkish Islamic Culture and Mosque Association for a very generous contribution to the appeal.
